Welcome to the New Orleans Baptist Association
Church Health. Church Planting. Compassion Ministries.
The New Orleans Baptist Association is the local arm of the Southern Baptist Convention, existing to serve all of the Southern Baptist pastors and congregations throughout our region in whatever way we may. Our three emphases of Church Health, Church Planting, and Compassion Ministries describe our activities well. We work with existing churches and pastors to encourage and support their efforts toward health and sustainable ministry – health of the minister and of the congregation. We support local church efforts to plant other congregations, including the church planting efforts both of the Louisiana Baptist Convention and the North American Mission Board. We engage the physical and spiritual needs of our city by supporting the local church as it reaches out in compassion and community development. We connect local pastors and congregations with others who would be their co-laborors in this kingdom work.
