Alex’s family has been in Southeastern Louisiana for the past nine generations, and in Baptist work in this area for the past three. He and his wife, Anne-Elise, have one son and foster.
Alex studied English literature and composition at the University of Tennessee and taught high school in New Orleans Public Schools before accepting a call to ministry and enrolling at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. After graduating from NOBTS, he pursued further study at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He was ordained by the congregation of Metairie Church shortly after returning to New Orleans and taking up his current position in associational ministry.
In addition to his work at NOBA, Alex serves as the lead pastor at Vieux Carre Baptist Church in the French Quarter.
